This is a natural sugar–white （warm white, with slight yellowish undertone)  nephrite jade Dragon Turtle pendant, hand-carved from top-grade old-mine material. The sugar color naturally appears on the Dragon Turtle’s head, symbolizing “prosperity arriving at the forefront”—a traditional blessing meaning success, good fortune, and powerful protection.

The carving is full, clean, and refined, without the overly complex patterns often used to hide flaws in jade. This piece uses exceptionally high-quality material, allowing the artist to keep the form pure and elegant. The jade itself is dense, oily, and fine-textured, sourced from one of the best sugar–white jade deposits. The old-mine material gives it a natural maturity and superior hand-feel, while the golden sugar color is rich, saturated, and non-diffused, showing the desirable characteristics of premium “mutton fat feel” jade that becomes even more lustrous and oily with wear.
